Online programs for middle and high school students who want to turn an interest into work that matters: a project, an internship, or a clear plan for what comes next. Live online, after-school pre-college enrichment.
ClassWallet offers two ways to pay. Pay Vendor is recommended and follows the four steps below. Reimbursement is the pay-first alternative.

A hands-on maker course for middle schoolers
Grades 6–8A maker course designed just for middle schoolers where they gather inspiration from the people around them and use prototyping skills to turn their ideas into something tangible.

A mentored passion project, reviewed against a real standard
Grades 8–10Co-designed with Stanford University.
Each student picks a problem they care about and learns to go after it the way innovators and social entrepreneurs do. They interview real people, build a prototype, test it, and improve it, with mentors weighing in at the moments that count. The program ends with a design review, where students present what they built and why it matters.

A remote internship with mentorship, no experience required
Grades 10–12After a short design bootcamp, each student joins a partner organization for a two-month, task-based internship. They tackle a real project, meet with their intern host every week, and have a mentor alongside them from start to finish. It's the kind of experience most students don't get until college. They leave with a professional reference, a polished résumé, and a story they can tell in any interview.

Less career guessing. More real-world experience.
Grades 11–12Juniors and seniors explore college and career paths that connect to their strengths, values, and interests. They talk with professionals, use AI to explore possibilities, and test ideas through small real-world experiments. They leave with a professional portfolio and a clearer plan for what comes next.
“I genuinely think this is one of the most worthwhile and meaningful classes I’ve ever taken. It didn’t only set me up for college, it set me up for my future career and life.”

02 04Innovation Certificate

The experiences and outcomes below describe our high school programs. Design & Make, our middle school course, has its own outcomes.
Students meet with d.tech teachers twice a week for two hours. Teachers coach in the moment, ask the next good question, and give feedback while the work is still taking shape.
Whether students are building a project, contributing to a partner organization, or exploring college and career paths, they connect what they learn to questions and interests that matter to them.
Depending on the high school course, students leave with a finished project, real internship experience, or a professional portfolio and a clearer next step. They gain concrete examples of what they can do and a story they can share in applications and interviews.
Design Tech High School is a public high school on Oracle's campus in Redwood City, California, and its teachers bring that classroom practice online.
“Before the innovation program, I was very hesitant of others shutting down my ideas. I now feel more comfortable giving out an idea and understanding that it's okay if it doesn't work. That's something I know will benefit me for the rest of my life.”
“Now, I feel confident in reaching out to people, taking on projects, and trying new things.”
“The innovation program really helped me refine my problem-solving skills. I went from having a raw understanding of design thinking to a more organized, consistent approach, which I now use in my school projects and personal life.”
